About

Villa Margherita is a spacious stone villa with spectacular view, gorgeous lap-pool, shady portico, and every modern convenience (including wifi and fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher). Enjoy the peaceful olive groves in splendid isolation, take the five-minute walk into the village of Penna in Teverina for an aperitivo, or go for a day trip in any one of the nearby hill-towns. Conveniently located fifteen-minutes from the Orte train station, one hour from Rome, and two hours from Florence.

Five minutes' walk up a shady lane is the charming village of Penna in Teverina. Penna is equipped with a well-stocked grocery store, an ATM, a pharmacy, a bakery, a pizzeria, and a café/bar, as well as several other food shops. Trucks with fresh produce and fish arrive in the village multiple times each week, and locally-grown vegetables are also available. Penna's historic center in the shape of a feather (hence the name) was constructed during a sixteenth-century building boom sponsored by the powerful Orsini clan. The historic center leads to a "belvedere" (panoramic outlook over the Tiber River valley and Mount Cimino beyond) and a number of walking paths.

"Fantastic panoramic villa with a large swimming pool for the number of people that can be accommodated. In particular, the length of the pool also allowed for swimming as in a training pool (when the children allowed it!). The villa has a beautiful patio that allows you to stay outdoors from breakfast to dinner, all with a beautiful view of the Tevere valley. Children can play happy and safely thanks to the large spaces of the garden which is well kept. Functional and aesthetically beautiful kitchen. There is everything, even if there are many people. The rooms are well furnished, you sleep well. Clean bathrooms (as well as the whole house and the whole property) and functional. What can I say more: perfect! Penna in Teverina has everything you need to live, the area offers many wineries that can be reached in a few minutes (I recommend a nice tour of these that you can organize by yourself) and there are so many places to visit, especially the medieval villages. All perfect for a holiday in which to relax, drink and eat well, in one of the parts of Italy to be discovered. The courtesy and organization of those who host you then makes everything very easy to manage away from the thoughts and stress of the period and work. Villa Margherita was a little dream that made us happier."
